Dear Brethren,
It is I, the one known as Jesus. As tragic as yesterday’s events in the United States capital of Washington DC were, they are excellent talking points for me to use to illustrate what I have talked about for a very long time. Belief is extremely powerful. When an individual buys into a belief that they read about, hear about on the radio or watch on tv, the belief gets bigger. This is how beliefs spread.
Some beliefs are not dangerous, but the ones that played out yesterday were dangerous and were due to deliberate manipulation of large groups of people, who each had their own sets of grievances. Their belief that there is a conspiratorial group of people who are out to deprive them of their rights, caused the kettle to boil over. Humans become irrational when their beliefs are even questioned.
Like attracts like means that a lone, aggrieved individual will both attract and be attracted to other aggrieved individuals, who then form large groups and small subsets, further cementing their grievances.
What happened yesterday was case in point when fear rules the human mind and behavior.
